I almost puked from sheer delight when my friend put on the Fever Ray album on an late night drive down PCH. The music immediately feel into sync as we meandered along the dark horizon, watching as each lane reflector glinted on time to the melancholic beat.
This shit is so haunting and exhilarating all at once. So much so that I ached to be as tortured as singer Karin Dreijer Andersson just so I can catch a glimpse of the beauty found in the underlying drones of the keyboard ( a little melodramatic, but I just finished watching The Secret Life of Bees, Dakota Fanning performance is so spot-on, I think she may be a 35-year old divorcee alien taking over a child’s body.)
Note: you may have to be slightly less then sober to entirely feel the full impact of this video, some art needs catalysts in order to ignite the synapses.
